News from PWRDF.png

I recently received this email from PWRDF, an excerpt follows;

 From: Carolyn Cummins
Subject: WaterFirst project
”Thank you very much for letting me know about your successful fundraising campaign - this is great news! Our deepest gratitude to everyone at St. Andrew's & St. Dunstan's.”

Carolyn is the Director, Fundraising and Supporter Relations at PWRDF

More information on the WATER FIRST Lent project…….

We also received sincere thanks from Water First. I had contacted them earlier to inquire into the cost of their internship, and even though our Lent Outreach had officially finished by the time I received an answer, I wanted to share some of the information I received during a video chat with Sam (Samantha) Murray. The 15 internships they ran this past season cost just over one million dollars! This amount not only covers the training of the individuals, but also provides full support to the students. This can mean covering the cost of housing, transportation, child-care and any other potential impediment to a student being able to participate in the program. Cost per intern can vary greatly and Sam found it impossible to give me a firm amount per student but they are exceedingly grateful for the funds we raised.

For anyone interested in further fundraising for the Water First programs, I can send you a Fundraising Toolkit or put you in touch with Sam. She is very helpful & enthusiastic!   Also there are informational videos on their website at www.waterfirst.ngo

Thank you so much for your support of PWRDF and Water First throughout Lent!

Heather Clarke, St. Andrew’s PWRDF Parish Rep.

If you wish to continue to donate to St. Andrew’s during this time, you can do so utilizing our PAD (Pre-Authorized Debit) option. Once a month, on or after the 12th, we submit to RBC our PAD file to automatically debit from your bank account. If the 12th falls on a weekend or statutory holiday, we process the file the next bank business day. To begin this process, call Carl Markwart at 604-575-3068 to provide your name and banking information. Three bank details are needed (usually taken from the bottom of a void cheque) – your bank’s transit number, bank number and your personal bank account number.

Alternatively, you can drop off your weekly envelopes through the church’s mail slot or mail your donation to St. Andrew’s 20955 Old Yale Rd, Langley City BC V3A 7P8.

There is also the option of e-transfer. You can just send it to the church’s email,  standrewslangley@shaw.ca, and it will be sent to our Treasurer.

Please keep checking in on each other!
