Thanks to all the helpers!

A special thank you to all those who have helped get everything ready for the fall sale! All kinds of people came in this week to help us set up the church, price items for the garage sale, and coordinate things like money and food. Make sure you come down for a little while to buy lots of things and help support the church, and also to say thank you to those who have worked so hard. Extra special thanks to Rosemary who kept all of the vendors organized.

Our Fall SALE is finally here!

The big day for our Fall Sale has arrived at last! Tomorrow—Saturday, October 14th—we are very excited to welcome one and all to enjoy the Fall Sale. With over 20 vendors and many Attic Treasures, we are sure to have something for everyone. There will be a concession as well, so you can have a snack or some lunch to keep your energy up!

Everything is reasonably priced and there are a wide variety of items for sale, from furniture and dishes to books and puzzles. Come and see what items might find a home with you! Our outside vendors are selling a wide variety of things too, ranging from cards and sewn items to decorative woodwork. And let’s not forget the repair table, where Rob, Andrew and Alex will be ready to do some small appliance repair.

We’re very much looking forward to welcoming you to the sale tomorrow!

As with any large event, we will need volunteers to ensure its success. Please help in whatever way you can. We will need many volunteers to help with sales of the Attic Treasures, and we will need many people to help us put away tables, clean up and pack up unsold Attic Treasures for donation to thrift shops.

Just a reminder that admission to the fall sale is by items for the food bank or by donation. We are looking forward to a fun day!

Family Eucharist: Saturday October 21st, 4:30-6:30pm

Please consider inviting and bringing any of the younger members of your family, either children or grandchildren, to our special Family Eucharist this coming Saturday. We’ll be reading the beatitudes and praying for peace at home and peace around the world. We’ll also be teaching people how to make rope!

Coffee Time Helpers

Do you know how to make coffee? Do you love washing tables and doing dishes? Have I got a job for you!

Marsha is looking for a few more volunteers to help with coffee set up & clean up, as well as preparing snacks for coffee time after the service Sunday mornings. It would be great if we could organize four or five teams of three people each to help keep coffee time going!

Please speak to Marsha or to me if this hospitality ministry is something you would like to do!

Care Home Ministry

We continue on with our Care Home services. October dates are: Harrison Pointe, Thursday, October 26, 2pm.

We’ve been a little short on volunteers from the congregation at the Care Home services. Please consider if this a ministry you are able to support, and speak to me if you would like to come and meet our friends at Harrison Pointe and Harrison Landing.

Without three or four regular volunteers we won’t be able to keep this ministry up! Please consider giving the gift of your time.

As always, please let me know if you or anyone you know would like a visit from the clergy!

Love from,

Andrew
