PWRDF Advent Project

Our farm is growing!!!

A joint venture between St Dunstan’s and St Andrews

“Buy the Whole Farm” is our project for Advent 2020. This project, in conjunction with local Partner groups, will help communities in 5 different countries improve their food security and become more resilient in the face of our changing climate.  This gift is valued at $570.00 and it includes:

Colombia; 5 chicken along with training in organic farming and also in the care of chicken to a group of rural women. As quick producers of protein-rich eggs & meat, chicken improve nutrition, food security and additional income to families. Value $30.00 Also training in hydroponic farming will be given to farmers in highland areas of Colombia where there is severe drought or water is not accessible. Hydroponics uses much less water than traditional farming methods. This will improve food security & give additional income opportunities.

Check out this video about how the project in doing great work!

If you wish to continue to donate to St. Andrew’s during this time, you can do so utilizing our PAD (Pre-Authorized Debit) option. Once a month, on or after the 12th, we submit to RBC our PAD file to automatically debit from your bank account. If the 12th falls on a weekend or statutory holiday, we process the file the next bank business day. To begin this process, call Carl Markwart at 604-575-3068 to provide your name and banking information. Three bank details are needed (usually taken from the bottom of a void cheque) – your bank’s transit number, bank number and your personal bank account number.

Alternatively, you can drop off your weekly envelopes through the church’s mail slot or mail your donation to St. Andrew’s 20955 Old Yale Rd, Langley City BC V3A 7P8.

There is also the option of e-transfer. You can just send it to the church’s email,  standrewslangley@shaw.ca, and it will be sent to our Treasurer.

Please keep checking in on each other!
