History

Built in 1921, the original St. Andrew's Church was located at 20611 Fraser Highway in Langley, BC.  It served the congregation and community well until March 4th, 1979, when it was destroyed by fire.

The new church is unique in that all of the inside doors of the church incorporate stain glass from the windows of the old church.  The crown in the stained glass cross, the brass alter rails, and the stonework in the present church are all memorials originally placed in the old church.  St. Andrew's Church was dedicated April 27, 1981.

One of the most fulfilling aspects of being part of a church family is using your gifts to help the church carry out its mission. Invest your time and talent wisely. Our ministries are organized in five areas:

  • Outreach:

    .

  • Worship:

    Worship ministries are all the different ministries that support and make possible our worship services, such as the Altar Guild, the Choir, the Liturgy Committee, and the Acolytes, Lectors, and Lay Eucharistic Ministers.

  • Education:

    Christian Education Classes for youth and children are offered on Sunday mornings. Small groups and classes meet during the week as well. 

  • Hospitality:

    Every Sunday the Parish Hall is abuzz with laughter and conversation during weekly coffee hour. Frequent lunches and special dinners offer opportunities for parishioners to build friendships.

  • Leadership:

    Members of the Vestry, who are elected by the congregation, along with the Rector, comprise our spiritual and administrative leadership ministry.
